've created a space
Where you cannot penetrate
Or intrude
A place where my naked honesty
Cannot be taken as rude
A place where I read
And I practice peace
All negative energy
Lay buried and deceased
I sit with my thoughts
My anxieties and fears
Accepting the denials
Of many years
I am protective of my space
Cautious of fire
Fencing my rib cage
With barbed wire
I celebrate who I am
And what I've become
In this space I practice
How to lift another one
I'm digging up
Roots and weeds
New grounds for new seeds
May I flourish differently than before
Learn to take less
And give more
Sit with the silence
That I was once afraid
But the quietest moments
Are where epiphanies are made
