your words feel like afternoon on my mind —sunny,
brightening my shadowed thoughts — elated.

I write and speak my peace into you,
verbatim, seek my peace in you,
sink my teeth into you.

your words sounds like
thunderstorms to my ears,
and taste like evenings
moistened with red wine,
seductive slurs
and hands beneath my skirt.

excuse me as I bother to burst.
